Maharajah on top again

First Swedish bred Stallion (beside From Above) since decades (down to Active Bowler) to top the Sire statistic

The first quarter of the year has gone already and Swedish Trotting Hero Maharajah, winner of the Prix d’Amerique in 2014 with Örjan Kihlström, tops the list for the 3 year olds in Sweden with his first crop.

Of course it might be too early to say that Maharajah is an outstanding sire of world class but the first signs speak well for it. Our Swedish friend and colleague Prof. Ulf Lindström, who owns the winning one-eyed Maharajah-filly Indirah Brook, mentions that M’s offspring out of the top mares like e.g. Lotuschic, Camilla Highness, Prada Pellini, Green Chili, Klipspringer, Irish Rose, Giggling, etc. are still to make their debut, so there should be air upward definitely.

That start in the breeding career could also make Maharajah likely to get his book full soon at his home stud Menhammar Stuteri.
